Usage
This hydrocolloid wound dressing range is designed for management of no-to-moderately exuding wounds, including leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, superficial and superficial partial-thickness burns, donor sites, postoperative wounds and skin abrasions. Depending on the specific wound characteristics, the dressing can stay in place for up to 7 days, supporting undisturbed healing and reduced dressing changes.
Available in both absorbent and ultra-thin transparent variants, these dressings offer gentle, effective sealing and healing in the final stages of wound healing and can be used as primary or secondary dressings.

Mode of action & composition
On contact with wound exudate, the hydrocolloid forms a viscous gel that absorbs exudate yet does not adhere to the wound bed, supporting atraumatic removal. The dressing contains moisture-absorbing sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) in a synthetic, elastic, adhesive mass; selected variants are reinforced with calcium alginate for increased absorption.
