Unlike traditional barriers that may break down when exposed to moisture, Durahesive® barriers are engineered to swell up—a protective effect called "turtlenecking." This creates a more secure seal and helps protect the stoma and surrounding skin from irritating output. The integration of Stomahesive® Technology™ on the skin-side layer ensures the barrier holds securely yet gently.
For those with recessed, retracted, or flush stomas, the built-in convexity provides the necessary pressure to help the stoma protrude, ensuring a better fit and reducing the risk of leaks.
