Experience advanced exudate transfer and antimicrobial protection with a soft, conformable wound contact layer designed to support moist wound healing. Featuring Safetac® soft silicone technology, this dressing gently adheres to intact skin while minimizing pain and trauma at change. A compressed polyurethane foam containing silver sulphate, coloured by activated carbon, provides an effective bacterial barrier and inactivates a broad range of wound-related pathogens (bacteria and fungi), as shown in vitro—helping reduce bioburden and odour.

Engineered to absorb and transfer exudate to an appropriate secondary dressing, it maintains close contact with the wound surface and surrounding skin—even on awkward or uneven areas. Suitable for low to high exuding leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, malignant wounds, partial thickness burns and donor sites where there is a risk of infection. May be used on infected wounds as part of a treatment regimen under the supervision of a qualified health care professional, and can be used under compression bandaging.

How to use
1. Cleanse the wound with saline or water according to clinical practice.
2. Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly.
3. Select a size that covers the wound and overlaps the edges; overlap pieces if using more than one.
4. Cut to fit if needed. Remove release films and apply with the adherent side to the wound—do not stretch.
5. Apply a secondary dressing appropriate for exudate level, ensuring it exceeds the edges; fixate to secure close contact.

Each dressing may be left in place for up to 14 days depending on the wound and skin condition, or as guided by accepted clinical practice. Intended for short-term use up to 4 weeks; for continued use, re-assessment by a physician is recommended. In case of clinical infection, this product does not replace systemic or other adequate infection treatment. The interaction with cleansing agents, oxidising agents (e.g., hypochlorite solutions/hydrogen peroxide) and topical treatments has not been demonstrated.

Remove the dressing prior to radiation therapy if present in the treatment area; a new dressing can be applied after treatment. Avoid contact with electrodes or conductive gels during electronic measurements (e.g., ECG, EEG). Note that colour variances do not affect product performance or safety.

Precautions

• Do not use on patients with known hypersensitivity to the components.
• Limited data exist on prolonged and repeated use of silver dressings, particularly in children and neonates.
• Frequent or prolonged use may cause transient or permanent skin discoloration.
• Do not reuse; performance may deteriorate and cross-contamination may occur.
• Sterile: do not use if the sterile barrier is damaged or opened. Do not re-sterilise.
