Mepiform Sterile

Mepiform® is a gentle, self-adherent soft silicone dressing designed to manage both new and existing hypertrophic and keloid scars. It can also be used prophylactically on closed wounds to help prevent the formation of hypertrophic or keloid scarring.

How Mepiform® Works

Topical silicone has been shown to positively affect hypertrophic scars and keloids⁵˒⁸.
Improvement timelines vary: minimizing an older scar may require 3 months to a year or more, depending on scar condition.

For best results:

• Wear Mepiform® 24 hours a day.

• Remove once daily—such as during bathing—to inspect and wash the skin.

• For preventive use on closed wounds, continue treatment for 2–6 months, depending on the risk and condition of the scar.

Areas of Use

Mepiform® is intended for the management of:

• New and old hypertrophic scars

• Keloid scars

• Closed wounds requiring prophylactic therapy
  It may also help prevent the development of hypertrophic and keloid scars.

Note

If maceration or rash occurs, allow the skin to rest until symptoms resolve. When reintroducing treatment, increase daily wear time gradually.
