Usage
This transparent hydrocolloid dressing is designed for no-to-low exuding chronic wounds and superficial acute wounds in the final stages of wound healing. Suitable for superficial burns, superficial partial-thickness burns, donor sites, postoperative wounds, and skin abrasions. Depending on wound characteristics, the dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days.
Excellent support for closure of wounds
Effective exudate management helps reduce dressing changes, minimizing disruption to the healing process and providing better protection for newly formed, fragile skin.
Flexibility to dress any part of the body
Ultra-thin and highly flexible, it conforms comfortably to body contours to make dressing placement easy across a variety of wound locations.
Transparency to allow for wound inspection with no dressing change
The transparent design enables easy wound inspection without lifting or replacing the dressing, helping caregivers monitor healing closely while keeping the wound environment undisturbed.
Bacteria and waterproof top film
A semi-permeable top film supports evaporation in line with exudate levels while helping block bacteria and water from entering the wound.
Mode of action
On contact with wound exudate, the hydrocolloid forms a viscous gel that absorbs exudate while avoiding adherence to the wound surface.
Product composition
Made with moisture-absorbing sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) particles encapsulated in a synthetic, elastic, adhesive mass, with a semi-permeable polyurethane top film.
